Participants will be provided instruction on the requirements of the Michigan Freedom of Information Act as they pertain to governmental agencies in general, with emphasis on the provisions in the Act specifically relevant to law enforcement agencies.
The Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course was developed from the military Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training. TECC is adapted to provide operators with battlefield proven trauma care information and techniques due to hostile action, particularly penetrating trauma.
This training program focuses on perimeter containment of Fleeing Subjects while utilizing Man-Tracking skills, deploying K-9, utilization of aviation support, and possibly LPOP’s (Listening Points / Observation Points). These techniques are also utilized for Lost and Missing Persons.
Failure to train new supervisors to properly lead, manage, and run the day-to-day operations of the agency is one of the most common problems in public safety today. Leaders must be built within an organization and understanding the basics of leadership and management will be critical to help the new supervisor transition into their position
Participants will start the day at Flint Township Police Department and after instruction proceed to Auto City Speedway.
