Practical Interview & Interrogation

The ability to effectively communicate is an essential part of any successful public safety official’s career.  Communicating within the context of an Interview or Interrogation, although many times taken for granted, will often make the difference in solving a criminal case or obtaining a conviction in a court of law.  Understanding appropriate techniques and practices in the Interview & Interrogation process is the first step in increasing an individual’s knowledge, skill and ability.

InstructorDavid Dwyre is a Special Agent with the Michigan Department of Attorney General. He has conducted over 500 polygraph examinations and has obtained over 40 murder confessions and 300 sexual assault confessions.  He currently conducts polygraph examinations for both the Attorney General and Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office, in addition to investigating allegations of public corruption, sexual assault and complex fraud cases.

Cost:        LEORTC Member Licensed Officers – Prepaid

LEORTC Non-Licensed Personnel – $30 p/p

All Others – $60 p/p
