THIS CLASS IS FULL
Mental Health First Aid for Public Safety is an eight-hour course specially designed for law enforcement officers, corrections officers, first responders and other public safety professionals. This training will help participants to better understand mental illnesses and addictions and provide them with effective response options to deescalate incidents without compromising safety.

Instructors: Both are certified with the “National Council for Behavioral Health” as Mental Health First Aid instructors.
Eduardo Calzada serves the GHS as Community Outreach Manager-Multicultural Population and is a United States Army Veteran with 22 years of service. He earned a Master’s Degree in Divinity and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with a psychology concentration.
Rigel Dawson earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wayne State University and serves as pastor of Family of Faith Ministries while working contractually with the GHS as a community advocate.
