Police interactions with citizens are in the national spotlight. What previously wouldn’t have made the local paper now makes the national news. Officers need tools to effectively engage citizens in a professional manner without compromising their own safety in the process. That is why Dynamics of Officer/Citizen Encounters was created. Through guided discussions, video analysis and case studies, participants will examine:
Instructor: John Bostain, a former police officer, he has served the Law Enforcement community for the past 24 years, 21 of which have been as a law enforcement trainer. He has trained more than 15,000 law enforcement professionals at the state, local, and Federal levels. He has committed his career to thinking differently about the challenges facing law enforcement and developing evidence-based training solutions across a broad spectrum of contemporary issues. John has earned the trust of 1000’s of law enforcement executives through my multiple presentations at executive level conferences, which include the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), National Sheriff’s Association (NSA), and the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) also presented frequently at state level Chief’s and Sheriff’s Associations.
