The Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course was developed from the military Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training. TECC is adapted to provide operators with battlefield proven trauma care information and techniques due to hostile action, particularly penetrating trauma.
Students will be emailed study material prior to the course. Students will be provided with an electronic version of the military TCCC Tactical Combat Casualty Care handbook to study. The TCCC skill set for “Deploying Combatants” information will be presented in the TECC course. The TCCC handbook covers both basic and advanced level material. The TECC course will only address the basic level material related to “Deploying Combatants.” Please study only that material. Students are encouraged to bring any medical gear they carry on duty and they may also bring ballistic or tactical vests.
