This two-day course is a must for anyone who may be in a position of investigating complaints or actively supervising staff. Internal Investigations are used to determine whether an employee has violated a work rule or regulation and if training is needed to address issues. This instruction will make the investigative and disciplinary process easy to understand by using simple to follow guidelines. Emphasis is placed on; preventative measures before discipline, the internal investigative function and training if, necessary to improve the services of the agency. Each attendee should bring a copy of their agency’s current policy regarding citizen complaints and investigations.

Training Facilitator: Chief Daniel McCaw (Ret.) has over thirty-one years in law enforcement experience. He has a degree in Law Enforcement, Political Science, and a master’s degree from Oakland University. Dan has been involved in training at Colleges, Universities, Police Academies and Police Departments for over twenty years.
