DAY THREE
This class is the required training for officers who have not been certified in Speed Measurement Devices. Additionally, it is highly recommended for those that, as a matter of agency assignment, have not operated a RADAR unit for the past year or more. If any personnel only need the LIDAR portion of the training, they can register separately for the class which is the first four hours of day 2.
Participants will need to bring a department vehicle equipped with a RADAR unit and/or LIDAR. Upon completion participants in the 3 day training will be certified in the operation of both RADAR units and LIDAR which is valid for five (5) years.
Instructor: Jon Strom, MCOLES Approved Radar/Lidar instructor.
Day one and two will have classroom work with patrol units for day two equipped with speed measuring devices. Day three is on April 28, 2020, same time and will consist of review, practical exercises, and testing.
