Property Room Management

This one-day course will provide an overview of the police property room function.  Those attending will be provided information relative to the “Best Practices” of property room management including:

  • The goal of police property room management
  • The duties of the property room officer
  • Processes for accepting property and/or evidence
  • Storing of property and/or evidence
  • Key elements of a property room policy
  • The difference between & need for inspections & audits
  • Layout of the property room
  • Legal issues related to the property room
  • And much more

Cost:               LEORTC Member Licensed Officers – Prepaid

LEORTC Non-Licensed Personnel – $30.00 p/p

Non-Member Agencies – $50.00 p/p

Instructor:  Dwayne Cherry, Chief of Police Retired.  He is one of 13 IAPE Certified Property & Evidence Specialists in the State of Michigan.
